Magic is Back: Sports Headlines Reactions 2/22/17

It is Wednesday, which means we are halfway to the weekend.  Just because it is the middle of the week does not mean we do not react to things.  Whether it is a co-worker spilling a cup of coffee all over your white shirt, or if it is one of these headlines below, today will be filled with reactions.

“A-rod says chances of return at zero percent”

A-rod has said that he is retiring.  Everyone should be convinced that a 41 year old baseball player has called it quits.  However, that does not mean he will not be involved with the Yankees.  He will be paid $21 million just to be an adviser and spring trainer instructor.  That is good money, and A-Rod should be plenty happy with his current position.

“Magic Johnson is Lakers President of Basketball operations”

Magic Johnson was an adviser for the Lakers for a while, then he gets promoted up in the front office.  This may not be a bad move for the Lakers, the Broncos has done the same with Elway, and they have won a Super Bowl.  Johnson will be fast, and aggressive.  That is how Johnson rolls, and we will see if this promotion will benefit the Lakers in the months to come.

“Mike Tolbert Released by the Carolina Panthers”

The Panthers have cut away pro-bowl Fullback Tolbert.  This move will open $1.725 million in the salary cap.  Tolbert had his worst season, having only 35 carries and 1 touchdown total.  Tolbert is taking the release with stride, and another team will most surly pick up the 31 year old Fullback.

Well, there are the various headlines for today, fellow Sports Reaction’ists, and remember, be the best sports fan you can possibly be.
