Today is sports Sunday. This is when we usually binge-watch Sports-Center, various games, and of course, sports rumors. We also react to headlines, whether it is happy, or sad, or maybe in surprising. Neverless, that is why we are here today.
“Osweiler traded to the Browns”
Probably the most publicized headlines of the week. At first glance, it may seem that the Browns might be making Brock their starter. However, that is not the case. The Browns got some draft picks within the trade, which is why the Browns even attempted to do this trade. The Texans did not want to pay Brock, they trade him to another team (with some picks) so that they could pay his contract.
“Russell Westbrook passes Wilt Chamberlain in triple-doubles”
Westbrook has been playing amazingly, and now he is only a few triple-doubles behind the record. Westbrook is playing amazingly, but will have to play outstanding to beat the record. If Russell could somehow get the record, how bad will the NBA all-star selection look, keeping the player who brook the triple-double record from first-team all-star? Yes, I am still frustrated by that.
“Cowboys not expected to trade Tony Romo”
This is not good news for the Cowboys, which means that they will most likely cut Romo. The reason no one is biting on the bait, is because teams know that they can just wait for Romo to be cut, and maybe get a cheaper contract on him. Other teams are being shrewd about this, and the Cowboys are just shaking their heads.
“Khawi Leonard out versus the Warriors”
The Warriors are in a bad place, and the Spurs have an opportunity to get a step closer to the number one seed. However, it has only gotten more difficult for the Spurs, since their best player will be out versus the Warriors. That does not mean that they will not win, but only that this game may not be a close and shut game for the Spurs.
“Brandin Cooks traded to the Patriots”
The New England Patriots have been the talk of free agency, mainly due to “Jimmy G”. Now they have given the sports world more to talk about. This is a trade that involves a talented young receiver, a first round pick, and Tom Brady getting another weapon on offense. Cooks is better than anyone the Patriots could have gotten at pick 32, so it is not a bad trade for either team.
