The Road Ends for Cleveland? Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs: Predictions
Well, the second round began, and it is time for me to make some predictions. I did not predict the first round, because I am lazy, and was busy on a vacation. However, lets see how close I can get to failure in “Round 2 Predictions” of the NBA:
New Orleans Pelicans Vs. Golden State Warriors
The Warriors advanced to the next, and have already played game one against the Pelicans. The Warriors are the favorites to win, and it should not be that hard for them either. The Pelicans are good, but I do not think they will be able to get over the Warriors.
Pick: Golden State Warriors win in 5.
Utah Jazz Vs. Houston Rockets
The Jazz levitated over the Thunder in 6. The Rockets beat the Timberwolves in 5. The Rockets, being the top seed, definitely has the upper hand. However, James Harden has never been great in the playoffs. I think the Rockets will win, but it will not be super easy.
Pick: Houston Rockets win in 6.
Philadelphia 76ers Vs. Boston Celtics
The Celtics are struggling without Kyrie Irving, and almost blew it against the Bucks. The 76ers beat the Heat pretty handily, and show no signs of slowing down. The Celtics will not be as lucky in this series.
Pick: Philadelphia 76ers win in 5.
Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers took their series against the Pacers down to the wire, with only LeBron’s outstanding performance keeping the Cavaliers safe for another round. The Raptors had a little trouble beating the Wizards, but won at the end. The Cavaliers cannot depend on LeBron shooting 40+ points all the time, so expect this game to be a close one.
Pick: Toronto Raptors win in 7.
Well, that’s my predictions for these series, SR Nation. Only time will tell if I will be hailed “Intelligent” in the arts of sports analytics, or if I will be deemed a failure to my family, and the whole sports community. As you can guess, I am rooting that the former will happen. But who do you think will win, SR Nation? Put your answers in the comment section below. And remember, be the best sports fan you can possibly be and do WLYF!
